Hello. I am an anthropologist who studies marine resource exploitation, ethnoarchaeology, zooarchaeology, tropical island chiefdoms, and gender. I have conducted research in Fiji, Polynesia and the Caribbean Islands, North America, Japan, Micronesia, and India. My current work deals with issues of foodways, marine ecology, ritual, and cannibalism in Fiji. I am also working on developing a model for hand-on science education through anthropological field schools.
