Sharyn Jones, Ph.D.
Hello! I am an anthropologist who studies marine resource exploitation, ethnoarchaeology, zooarchaeology, tropical island chiefdoms, and gender. I have conducted research in Fiji, Polynesia and the Caribbean Islands, North America, Japan, and Micronesia. My current work deals with issues of foodways, marine ecology, and cannibalism in Fiji. I am also working on developing a model for hand-on science education through anthropological field schools.
